If you’re like me and don’t enjoy spending time planning, but still want to see all of Bali’s beauty in one go, I highly recommend adding Klook day tours to your itinerary! On this 7-day, 6-night Bali free & easy trip, we booked three Klook day tours (on Days 2, 4, and 6), and each one was both relaxing and amazing—truly the ultimate ‘sleep on the bus, snap photos off the bus’ experience. I want to share this with anyone who also wants to explore Bali effortlessly ❤️

This trip was arranged to be stress-free and effortless, allowing us to leisurely soak up Bali’s vacation vibes while exploring famous spots, hidden gems, and culture. I have to say: Klook is a lifesaver for independent travelers!

🛬 Day 1: Arrive in Bali, Switch to Chill Mode!
After landing at Ngurah Rai Airport, we took our pre-booked airport transfer to a hotel in Sanur on Bali’s east coast. Sanur is a tranquil seaside town in southeastern Bali, known for its laid-back atmosphere and slow pace of life—a top choice for families and long-stay travelers. It boasts a long beachfront promenade and sunrise-facing beaches, perfect for morning walks, cycling, and swimming. Unlike bustling Kuta, Sanur exudes a relaxing, elegant charm.
We stayed at Griya Santrian, a beachfront resort where you can step from the pool right onto the sand—ideal for water lovers and beach bums. The property features traditional Balinese architecture and lush, serene garden landscapes. The hotel also offers spa services, yoga classes, and a sea-view restaurant, making it perfect for travelers wanting to embrace the ‘slow living’ vibe of Sanur.

On the first day, we chose to take it easy, exploring the nearby beach and shopping areas. Bali’s tropical vibe and sea breeze instantly put us in vacation mode~

📸 Day 2: Klook’s ‘Bali Eastern Instagram-Worthy Tour’ 🌋🌴
Today’s highlight is Klook’s Bali Eastern Instagram-Worthy Day Tour—our first Klook trip of this journey. It only takes two people to form a group, and the best part is you can choose a Chinese-speaking guide. Perfect for first-timers like us who want to dive deep into the experience!
We set off from the hotel promptly at 7:30 AM. The private car pickup was super convenient—we just dozed off along the way and woke up at the sights. First stop: the iconic Lempuyang Temple, also known as the ‘Gate of Heaven.’ Snapping that classic symmetrical mirror shot here was absolutely dreamy! 📷⛩️ Our Chinese guide also explained the sacred origins of the temple, so we didn’t just take photos—we gained insight into the local religious culture.
Next, we headed to Swing Heaven—it’s not just about swinging on the swings; there are multiple photo spots to capture stunning Instagram-worthy shots! 🌺 After snapping photos, the guide helped us find the best angles—their photography skills were top-notch!
Around noon, we arrived at the serene Tirta Gangga Water Palace, a former royal bathing spot filled with spiritual vibes. The pools are teeming with koi fish—you can buy feed to toss in or stroll across the stepping stones. It was so much fun! 🐟💦
Then we visited the grand Taman Ujung Water Palace, a less crowded spot with a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for quietly admiring the blend of architecture and water features.
Our last stop was Virgin Beach, a hidden gem I absolutely loved. Far from the hustle and bustle, with crystal-clear water and powdery white sand, it’s not crowded with locals either—ideal for zoning out, soaking up the sun, and sipping coconut water. 🌞🥥

We headed back around 5:30 PM. The whole day was packed but unhurried—no need to navigate or worry about transport at all. Super hassle-free!

Pro Tips:
Before you go, make sure to download WhatsApp. Klook’s local operators will contact you through it to confirm pickup times and other details—super convenient!
🌿 Day 3: Half-Day Free Time in Ubud + Spa Time
After sleeping in today, we checked out of Sanur and headed to Ubud Market for a stroll, grabbed Ubud’s famous crispy roast pork rice, and then enjoyed a 90-minute Balinese aromatherapy massage at a spa.
Ubud is the cultural heart of Bali, surrounded by rice paddies, forests, and traditional villages—an ideal place to seek nature, art, and spiritual experiences. Here, you can join yoga classes, visit artisan villages, soak in Balinese temple culture, and relax in many high-quality villas.
How could you visit Bali without enjoying a villa!? The Ayuterra Resort we stayed at is a villa I couldn’t tear myself away from the pool 🏞️. The room was stylish and spacious, with a private infinity pool overlooking the Ayung River gorge—every moment felt like a postcard 📸. Soaking in the pool under the stars at night and waking up to birdsong in the morning was the most relaxing and romantic night of my Ubud trip ❤️. Highly recommended for honeymoons or couples celebrating a special occasion!

🌿 Day 4: Klook ‘Ubud Private Day Tour’ | Culture & Nature All-Inclusive, Unlock Ubud’s Highlights in One Day!
On this day, we booked the [Ubud Private Day Tour] on Klook, which also offers a Chinese-speaking guide option. However, this time, our fantastic English-speaking driver, Yogi, took us through the entire itinerary. He was incredibly patient and helped us plan the most efficient route that avoided the crowds. He also took care of all the parking fees at each stop, so we didn’t have to pay extra—such a thoughtful touch!
We departed from the hotel at 08:30 AM, and our first stop was the stunning UNESCO World Heritage rice terraces—Tegallalang Rice Terrace. The layered paddies looked like green waves, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. No matter where we stood, every photo looked like a dreamy postcard! 🌾📷

Next, we experienced the classic Ubud swing. The moment we swung out over the lush tropical rainforest and valley was both thrilling and exhilarating—it felt like we were flying through a movie scene!

Our third stop was the Ubud Monkey Forest, a natural habitat for the Balinese long-tailed macaques. The monkeys are lively and curious, but don’t worry—as long as you don’t feed or provoke them, they’re generally harmless. Our guide also taught us how to keep a safe distance, making it a unique and fun experience 🐒🌳
For lunch, Driver Yogi picked a restaurant with an amazing view. We enjoyed our meal while overlooking the rice fields—the atmosphere was perfect (thanks to his excellent arrangement!)
After lunch, we visited Tirta Empul Temple, a spot I was really looking forward to. The holy spring water in the temple is believed to have purifying powers, and many local devotees and tourists enter the pools to receive blessings. Although I didn’t go into the water, sitting quietly and watching this scene of devotion brought an unexpected sense of peace 🙏💧

Our final stop was Ubud’s popular waterfall—Tegenungan Waterfall. It was truly spectacular, with a thunderous roar and an awe-inspiring presence. However, it was quite crowded with people swimming and taking photos, which made it feel a bit commercialized to me, so we didn’t stay long. It really depends on personal preference!

We returned to the hotel around 5:00 PM. This nearly 10-hour journey was fulfilling without being exhausting. A special shout-out to our driver Yogi—he was super nice, planned the itinerary perfectly, and helped us avoid peak crowds. He truly deserves a big recommendation!
If you’re planning a trip to Ubud, this day tour is a great way to quickly get to know this cultural town, especially if you don’t like driving yourself and want to capture plenty of photos 📸💛

Our driver and guide this time was the super cool Mr. Tawan! He was both enthusiastic and street-smart, deeply familiar with the history and culture of each stop—whether it was the meaning of the Kecak dance, the temple architecture at Uluwatu, or the formation of the beach, he provided rich and detailed explanations. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This trip felt complete because of him!
⛱️ 09:00 Depart → 11:00 Padang Padang Beach
Our first stop is a hidden gem—Padang Padang Beach. Surrounded by lush rock walls, you have to squeeze through a narrow crevice to reach it, giving it a real sense of adventure! The beach is small but boasts fine white sand and crystal-clear blue water—a perfect spot for swimming and snapping photos 🌊📸
🍴 12:30 Lunch Time
We chose our own lunch spot, and Tawan kindly recommended a restaurant with ocean views. Enjoying grilled fish with coconut water while watching surfers ride the waves—it was incredibly chill~
🏝️ 14:00 Blue Point / Suluban Beach
Next, we headed to Suluban Beach, also known as ‘Blue Point Beach’—a secret paradise for many surfers. This beach is surrounded by massive rock caves, and at low tide, you can walk into the caves and explore small tidal pools. It feels mysterious and adventurous, like discovering a ‘grown-up secret hideout’ 🏄♂️
🛕 16:30 Uluwatu Temple
Perched on a cliff, this ancient temple is not only one of Bali’s six holiest temples but also offers stunning views of the Indian Ocean. The monkeys here are playful and cheeky—be sure to secure your belongings (especially sunglasses and hats!). With our guide, we learned about the history and spiritual significance of Uluwatu Temple, gaining a deeper appreciation for the locals’ reverence for nature and the divine.

🔥 18:00 Kecak Dance Performance (Highlight: Skip-the-line entry!)
This performance was truly one of the highlights of our trip! The Kecak dance relies on no instruments—instead, dozens of bare-chested men create an atmosphere with rhythmic ‘chak-chak-chak’ chants, while performers dance with fire and engage the audience, bringing the classic scenes of the Indian epic Ramayana to life on stage! The show begins at sunset, culminating in bursts of flames and cheers from the crowd—an absolutely electrifying vibe 🔥🔥🔥

(This tour includes skip-the-line entry, saving us so much waiting time—highly recommend this perk!)

FAQ: One-Day Tours
1. Q: How many people are needed for a private guided tour on Klook?
A: Yes! Most private guided tours on Klook require just 2 people to start, no group sharing, and even solo travel is fine—no need to worry about gathering a group. Whether you’re a couple, friends, or family, you can enjoy a dedicated driver-guide with more flexible itineraries.
2. Q: Can I choose a Chinese-speaking guide?
A: Some tours offer a Chinese-speaking guide option—please check the ‘Language’ field when booking. If not available, most tours come with an English-speaking guide or local driver. You can also contact the local driver in advance via WhatsApp to discuss your needs.
3. Q: Are entrance fees, lunch, or parking fees included in the tour?
A: Details vary by tour. Some include entrance fees and lunch, but most specify ‘meals at your own expense’ or ‘entrance fees not included.’ For example, our Ubud day tour has no extra parking fees at any stops, but lunch is at your own cost. We recommend reading the details carefully or contacting customer service before departure.
Ticket prices for these attractions fluctuate with the peak season, so check the latest reference prices on the Bali Ticket Price List before you go.
4. Q: Will the driver accompany us into the attractions?
A: Yes! Most tours are guided private charters, where the driver will join you at attractions to explain, take photos, and help with tickets. However, if you choose the English-speaking driver version, you may explore some spots on your own.
5. Q: Can the itinerary be customized? Can we change the route midway?
A: Generally, no, but some private itineraries offer more flexibility. You can ask customer service or the driver in advance if minor adjustments are possible (e.g., swapping a spot or extending your stay), but it depends on traffic and time availability that day.
6. Q: If we’re staying in different areas, like Ubud or Jimbaran, can we still get picked up?
A: Yes, but pickup zones and fees may vary. Most tours offer ‘free pickup’ in areas like Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, and Ubud, while other areas may require an extra fee or need confirmation.
7. Q: Will a day trip feel rushed?
A: Klook tours are generally ‘moderately paced,’ lasting about 8–10 hours. Although many spots are included, private tours don’t feel rushed, and the driver can adjust the route to avoid crowds. For example, we arrived early before the Kecak fire dance and got in without queuing—a huge plus!
8. Q: Do I need to bring cash?
A: It’s highly recommended to bring some Indonesian rupiah in cash. While some attractions and restaurants accept cards, places like Ubud’s traditional market, fire dance tickets, and temple donations still require cash.
9. Q: Will there be traffic jams? Is time allocated for that?
A: Bali’s peak traffic can be heavy, but Klook drivers usually avoid busy hours or adjust the route order to steer clear of congestion.
10. Q: How do I contact the driver or guide?
A: Klook will provide the driver’s contact information before your trip. It’s recommended to download WhatsApp, as it’s the most commonly used communication method in Bali. You can confirm pickup times, guide language, and other details in advance.
11. Q: Are there more day trips to choose from?
A: Klook offers over 100 Bali day trips to choose from. It’s best to pick highly-rated ones based on the area you’re staying in.
