Coming to Bali for vacation, my travel companion and I hoped to create more beautiful memories. Among the many travel options, we decided to book a special itinerary - the “Bali Professional Photographer Day Tour.” This package not only offers sightseeing tours but, more importantly, includes a professional photographer who accompanies us throughout the day, using cameras and drones to capture every precious moment. For us, who wanted to take beautiful photos without missing out on the firsthand experience, this arrangement was perfect!

Preparations Before Departure
During our first few days in Bali, we stayed at the Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort, and the location was absolutely perfect! Right next door was the fantastic Beachwalk Shopping Center, filled with various brand stores and restaurants, keeping us entertained for hours. Even better, just across the street was Kuta Beach, where we spent our days learning to surf and feeling the thrill of the Indian Ocean waves. In the evenings, we enjoyed stunning sunsets from the resort’s seaside pool. At night, we strolled through the lively streets, sampling a variety of local and international cuisines. Kuta’s nightlife allowed us to experience Bali’s youthful and vibrant side.

The day before our tour, we received a confirmation message from our photographer and guide, Udin, via WhatsApp, detailing the pickup time and location. Since we had chosen the Bali Professional Photographer Day Tour, which included both camera and drone photography services, we were eagerly looking forward to the upcoming adventure.
The Bali Photographer Day Tour offers three itineraries to choose from: East Bali, Ubud and Waterfalls, and North Bali. After discussing with my travel companion, we opted for the “Ubud and Waterfalls” route, allowing us to experience Bali’s most iconic cultural sites and natural beauty.

Bali Professional Photographer Day Tour
The Tour Begins - Departure from Kuta at 8:00 AM
At 8:00 AM sharp, our photographer and guide, Udin, arrived at our hotel in Kuta to pick us up. This professional photographer not only captured our moments but also served as our guide and driver, making the entire trip more convenient and personalized.
As we drove away from Kuta, our journey to Ubud began. The scenery gradually transformed from coastal cityscapes to lush countryside views, heightening our excitement for the adventures ahead.
First Stop: Ubud Monkey Forest
Upon arriving at the Ubud Monkey Forest, our photographer purchased the entrance tickets for us, which were included in our package. Stepping into this sacred forest, we were immediately awestruck by the dense primeval jungle and ancient stone carvings.

Here, the mischievous monkeys became the perfect supporting cast in our photos. Our photographer skillfully used professional equipment to capture precious moments of our interactions with the monkeys. The ancient temple structures, surrounded by greenery, exuded an air of mystery, with every angle providing a perfect backdrop. We spent nearly an hour exploring this enchanting place.
Second Stop: Tegallalang Rice Terraces
After leaving the monkey forest, we arrived at the famous Tegallalang Rice Terraces. Our photographer again handled the entrance tickets, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in this green wonderland.

Standing on the viewing platform, we marveled at the layered rice fields stretching like green staircases to the horizon. Our photographer utilized drone technology to capture the terraces’ grandeur from various heights and angles. We strolled through the fields, letting the photographer capture our natural expressions as we absorbed the breathtaking scenery.
Lunch Break
Near the Tegallalang Rice Terraces, we chose a local restaurant for lunch. While the meal was at our own expense, enjoying authentic Balinese cuisine while overlooking the rice terraces made this dining experience particularly memorable. Our photographer also took this opportunity to show us some of the stunning shots he had captured.
Third Stop: Tegenungan Waterfall
After lunch, we headed to the final stop of our day’s itinerary - Tibumana Waterfall.
Located a bit away from Ubud, this distance allows us to enjoy the serene beauty with fewer crowds. After a short nap in the car, we arrived at the parking lot. Our tour package included tickets to all attractions, so we simply followed Udin. As we walked along the path through the dense tropical rainforest, the sound of the waterfall grew clearer. Tibumana Waterfall cascades like silver threads from the sky, falling into the emerald pool below.

Here, our photographer made full use of the drone to capture the waterfall’s full grandeur from above, while also documenting our various poses in front of the falls with his camera. The clear pool water reflected our joyful smiles, and every photo was filled with vibrant energy.

Return Journey - 15:00 Back to Kuta
At 3 PM, we began our journey back to Kuta. In the car, the photographer shared amusing anecdotes from his shoots: ‘Last week, a couple got engaged at the waterfall, and the ring was almost snatched by a monkey…’
Throughout the trip, the photographer not only professionally captured our precious moments but also fluently introduced the history and cultural background of each site in English, making this journey more than just sightseeing—it was a deep cultural experience.
