Key Highlights: This seven-day, six-night travelogue connects three distinct style areas of Bali—Seminyak (staying at Indigo Seminyak, walking to Double Six Beach for sunset, boutique shopping), Ubud (cultural experiences), and Canggu (trendy, modern vibe). Each area has a clear character, perfect for travelers who want to experience Bali’s diverse facets without sticking to just one spot.
After the pandemic, I’ve traveled to quite a few countries, but this seven-day, six-night trip to Bali has become the one I most want to revisit. Whether in Seminyak, Ubud, or Canggu, each area has its own unique charm, offering travelers different feelings and memories.
The Enchanting Vibe of Seminyak
First, I arrived in lively Seminyak, where the bustling, modern atmosphere is undoubtedly one of Bali’s hallmarks. I chose to stay at the Indigo Seminyak hotel, which boasts an excellent location—within walking distance of the famous Double Six Beach. Every evening, I’d order a drink, face the beach, and wait for the sunset. In that moment, I felt an incredibly relaxing peace. Such a leisurely life made me completely forget the daily grind—it felt like paradise.

The pace of life in Seminyak is relaxed and free—from morning cafés to evening bars, everything is full of energy and freshness. It’s also perfect for travelers who love shopping and exploring, as the streets are lined with trendy boutiques, inviting you to wander and enjoy the shopping experience.

Cultural Experiences in Ubud
Next, I headed to Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali. This area is steeped in an artistic atmosphere and pastoral scenery, offering a stark contrast to the bustling vibe of Seminyak. My first stop was the traditional market near the Ubud Palace, where stalls overflow with everything from handmade crafts to local specialties, each one brimming with the thrill of discovery. I recommend setting aside plenty of time to ‘treasure hunt,’ as every stall might hold the unique souvenir you’ve been dreaming of.
Wandering through Ubud’s exotic alleyways, I stumbled upon two restaurants that made it hard to leave—Kebun Bistro and Kusi. Both offer a distinct taste of Ubud through their dishes and ambiance. (Included in our ‘Ubud Guide Map’, which features over 20 food recommendations.)

At Kamala Resort, where we stayed in Ubud, some details fell a bit short, but the occasional visits from monkeys became a highlight. These little guests made the entire stay more lively and fun, especially for nature lovers.

Ubud isn’t just about tranquility; at the Tegalalang Rice Terrace forest playground, you can also find thrills and joy in nature. I spent an afternoon full of adventure and laughter there—this place is definitely worth a full day to savor every moment.

Trendy and Stylish Canggu
The final stop of our trip was Canggu, the trendiest new area in Bali. The streets are lined with a wide variety of concept stores and cafés, each with its own unique design style that makes you want to explore every one. Whether you’re shopping or indulging in local cuisine, Canggu’s diversity ensures every traveler finds something to love.
The Komu Hotel we stayed at had slightly lacking soundproofing, allowing us to ‘enjoy’ the nightclub’s noise from our room. However, the hotel’s modern design was impressive, and the overall experience was quite good—especially for travelers who appreciate contemporary aesthetics, offering great value for money.

A Heartfelt Encounter with Driver Komang

What touched me most on this trip was meeting our driver, Komang WikaSutresna. Before departure, I contacted several drivers, but only Komang responded the fastest and most thoroughly. From the quote to the itinerary planning, his sincerity and professionalism meant I didn’t need to compare prices—I knew I had found the perfect choice. He proactively reached out to me several times before the trip to confirm the schedule and remind me of important details, which put me completely at ease. More importantly, Komang wasn’t just our driver; he became our friend in Bali.
Whether you’re traveling with family or a group of women, Komang will make you feel safe and trusted. I wholeheartedly recommend this driver to everyone!
