Attention travelers planning to visit Bali! If your trip is scheduled after April, you might need to adjust your budget slightly. According to the latest official announcement, several popular attractions including Ubud’s Sacred Monkey Forest and Tanah Lot Temple will officially raise their entrance fees starting April 1, 2026, with increases ranging from 20% to 33%.
This price adjustment is primarily aimed at addressing the rising costs of maintaining tourist attractions while enhancing service quality and facility upgrades for visitors.
📌 Comparison of Popular Attractions Before and After Price Increases
Here’s a summary of the price changes for some of the most affected and popular destinations among Taiwanese travelers (based on foreign adult ticket prices):

Starting from April, the price has been unified and increased to 130,000 IDR, regardless of the day. 💡 Travel Tips: How to Deal with Rising Prices?
- Digital payments made easier: Most popular attractions (such as the Sacred Monkey Forest) now fully support Visa/MasterCard credit cards and QRIS mobile payments. It’s recommended to carry a credit card with good overseas rewards to avoid carrying large amounts of cash.
- Avoid weekend crowds: Although ticket prices have increased, the experience shouldn’t be compromised. It’s best to visit the Sacred Monkey Forest right at opening time, 9:00 AM, to avoid the afternoon tour groups and enjoy better photo opportunities.
- Budget planning: With the Bali Travel Fee set to take effect from 2026, it’s advisable to allocate an additional 15%-20% for transportation and ticket costs when planning your budget, ensuring a more comfortable trip!
