It’s a top-tier high-end resort experience in Uluwatu, ideal for discerning travelers seeking private pool villas and cliffside ocean views.
If you’re looking for a vacation spot that lets you unwind while leaving you in awe, Six Senses Uluwatu is an absolute must. This stay felt like a dreamlike adventure, full of surprises and wonder, and I can’t help but share this beautiful memory with you.

Cliffside Luxury: Checking into Six Senses Uluwatu
Perched on the cliffs of Uluwatu, Bali, Six Senses Uluwatu overlooks the magnificent Indian Ocean, offering a breathtaking panorama. As the pinnacle of high-end resort experiences in Uluwatu, this resort perfectly blends natural beauty, modern luxury, and sustainable tourism, delivering an unforgettable getaway.

We booked a one-night stay through a booking platform for $477 (off-peak rate). While it’s not cheap, the moment you step into this cliffside paradise, you’ll find every penny well spent! The hotel is about 3 miles from Suluban Beach and 2.3 miles from Padang Padang Beach. It’s roughly 7 miles from Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport, making it very accessible.
From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were blown away by the view—the endless Indian Ocean stretched out before us, as if the whole world lay at our feet. The design seamlessly blends modern luxury with natural elements, instantly evoking a sense of peace and relaxation.
103 Private Villas: The Perfect Blend of Luxury and Privacy

Six Senses Uluwatu features 103 private villas, each with an infinity-edge ocean-view pool and a courtyard garden. The villas are spacious, luxuriously designed, and so inviting that you won’t want to leave. Every room also includes an outdoor terrace with stunning ocean views. The bathrooms are equipped with dual sinks, indoor and outdoor showers, premium toiletries, and high-tech toilets, offering the ultimate comfort and convenience.
Ocean Golf: An Eco-Friendly and Fun Experience
One of the main reasons we chose Six Senses Uluwatu was that we had never tried golf before, and their ocean golf was absolutely breathtaking! Imagine hitting golf balls into the ocean, where they naturally dissolve into fish food—both eco-friendly and fun! Just reading about it makes you eager to try, right?

Unfortunately, on the first day, bad weather prevented us from experiencing this activity, and our spirits sank. After all, this was the main reason we came! But Six Senses’ service was truly impeccable. The next day, the hotel staff specially arranged this long-awaited experience for us. Even though it was our first time playing golf and we were just swinging wildly, the thrill of hitting the ball into the ocean was incredibly exciting! It was an unforgettable experience.

A Sea Turtle Encounter on the Cliffside
While strolling along the hotel’s cliffside, we actually spotted sea turtles swimming gracefully in the crystal-clear waters! This intimate connection with nature instantly made all our worries fade away. Six Senses Uluwatu is not just a resort; it feels like an eco-paradise living in harmony with nature.
Shuttle Rides: A Little Adventure
Since the hotel is vast, getting around requires shuttle rides. Honestly, I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent zipping around in the shuttles! Especially during Bali’s rainy season—shortly after we checked in, a heavy downpour began, and the sound of rain all night was incredibly relaxing. Although we couldn’t experience the outdoor movie due to the weather, my sister made a sunshine doll, and the next day, it actually cleared up! Was it magic?

Private Pool & Thoughtful Design: The Ultimate Luxury

The rooms are fully equipped with air conditioning, a flat-screen satellite TV, wireless speakers, and an organic coffee machine. Each room also features an outdoor terrace with stunning ocean views. The bathroom boasts double sinks, indoor and outdoor showers, premium toiletries, and a high-tech toilet, offering the utmost comfort and convenience.

In the afternoon, the hotel offers free ice cream made with fresh fruit! I tried the papaya flavor—it was absolutely ‘super papaya’! The rich, fruity aroma lingered long after.
Special Gifts for Furry Friends
Six Senses Uluwatu even takes care of furry friends! We bought a souvenir for our dog at the hotel shop—such thoughtful service truly warms the heart.

Gourmet Dining & SPA: A Feast for the Senses
The hotel’s breakfast offers a rich buffet with plenty of healthy options, giving you a great start to the day. Rocka Restaurant serves a perfect fusion of Indonesian and international cuisine, emphasizing fresh, local ingredients. Meanwhile, Watu Steakhouse combines premium steaks with Japanese cuisine, blending traditional and international flavors that are simply irresistible.

At dinner, the restaurant introduced Indonesian chili sambal in great detail, with menu pictures making it easy to understand. We ordered a simple pasta dish, and it turned out surprisingly delicious!

Additionally, the hotel’s SPA experience is fantastic, featuring 8 treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge, a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, and steam room, along with an air-conditioned yoga pavilion and a 24-hour fitness center. If you come here, don’t miss it!

A Little Surprise: The Room Phone Ringtone
Finally, there’s one more delightful detail that’ll make you smile—the room phone’s ringtone is exactly the same as an iPhone’s! Every time it rings, it’s hard not to chuckle, and this little surprise adds an extra layer of fun to the entire stay.
Conclusion: One Night Is Just Not Enough!

Six Senses Uluwatu is a resort that leaves no room for criticism. From the breathtaking natural scenery to the thoughtful service, every detail brings surprise and satisfaction. The only downside? One night is far too short! If you ever get the chance to visit Bali, don’t miss this clifftop paradise—it’s guaranteed to leave you longing to return!
