Bottom Line: Ayana Villa is located in Jimbaran, about a 30-minute drive from the airport. Originally the Ritz-Carlton hotel, it was transformed into the current Ayana in 2009. The top-tier villas offer up to 500 square meters of space, with perks like a complimentary minibar, Nespresso machine, and a pillow menu with 14 options—perfect for travelers seeking ultimate privacy and space.
If you’re searching for a perfect getaway that combines luxury, natural landscapes, and gourmet cuisine, the Ayana Resort in Jimbaran, Bali, is a must-visit. This time, I stayed in the luxurious Ayana Villa, embarking on an unforgettable vacation filled with surprises and delights—from the famous Rock Bar to the spectacular pools.

Arriving at Ayana Resort
We departed from Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, and after about a 30-minute drive, we arrived at the resort. Ayana was originally the Ritz-Carlton hotel before being transformed into the current Ayana in 2009. The resort houses four different hotels, and for this trip, I chose the highest-tier Ayana Villas, where each villa offers spacious interiors and unique design.
Villa Check-In and Amenities
We checked into Villa 3008, which boasts an impressive 500 square meters. Upon opening the door, we entered a soaring living room adorned with elegant decor, complete with a minibar, Nespresso machine, and complimentary drinks in the fridge. Every detail in the villa reflects high-end design, from custom slippers to a pillow menu with 14 options, making you feel pampered and luxurious.

The bathroom facilities are equally impressive, featuring dual sinks, a walk-in closet, and a floral bath for ultimate relaxation, along with toiletries from the renowned local brand Sensatia. The bathroom design is minimalist yet stylish, with rain showers and aromatic essential oils that make you want to linger.

Rock Bar: Bali’s Sunset Spectacle
One of the most iconic landmarks within the AYANA Resort is the cliffside Rock Bar. With breathtaking ocean views, especially at dusk when the setting sun casts a golden glow over the sea, it creates a truly spectacular scene. Taking the resort’s funicular from the villa down to the bar is a unique experience, and as night falls, the bar remains lively and vibrant.
I enjoyed delicious cocktails at Rock Bar, accompanied by a live female DJ set—the whole atmosphere was incredibly romantic and comfortable. The sound of the waves combined with the light show created an unforgettable evening experience. Even if you’re not a resort guest, it’s well worth a visit.

Unique Dining Experiences
At AYANA, we had dinner at Padi Restaurant, which serves Indonesian and Asian cuisine. The rice dishes here were especially outstanding—classic Indonesian fried rice (Nasi Goreng) and fried noodles (Mie Goreng) were full of local flavor, and pairing them with chicken satay made for a perfect combination.
If you love a hearty morning breakfast, AYANA’s DAVA Restaurant offers a curated selection of buffet and à la carte options, including Jimbaran-style yellow rice, eggs benedict, and the wildly popular Acai Bowl—guaranteed to keep you energized all day long.
Endless Pools and Natural Beauty
AYANA boasts 14 different pools, each with its own unique character. The River Pool in the villa area is the most popular Instagram spot, with stunning views that are especially captivating during the soft light of early morning and dusk.

Another must-visit is the adults-only Ocean Beach Pool, an infinity pool facing the ocean that makes you feel as if you’re floating in a seamless blend of sea and sky. It’s absolutely worth a visit.

Conclusion: The Perfect Blend of Luxury and Nature
The Ayana Villa at Ayana Resort is truly a dream destination that lets you escape the hustle and bustle and fully immerse yourself in Bali’s natural beauty and luxury. From the exquisite villa amenities to the unforgettable Rock Bar, and the array of activities and dining experiences within the resort, every corner here offers a five-star indulgence. If you’re planning an unprecedented getaway, Ayana Villa is undoubtedly your top choice.
