If you’ve searched for hotels in Petitenget, you know this area isn’t short on options—but finding one that combines strong design, a great location, and a stay you won’t regret is truly rare. iSuite by Ekosistem is one of those rare gems. With only 21 rooms, this boutique design hotel just opened in April 2025. Behind it is Ekosistem, a group already known in Bali for its eco-retreats and villas, making this their first boutique hotel venture. Just hearing this background, you know they didn’t launch this casually.
📍 Location & Surroundings
Located at Jl. Petitenget No. 19X in the heart of Seminyak, this area is very familiar to frequent visitors to Bali. Right outside your door is the entire Petitenget Street, with Potato Head Beach Club just a few minutes’ walk away. Nearby, you’ll find Sarong Asian Fusion Restaurant, Shiro Sushi (right next door, incredibly convenient), and Amici Club directly across the street. Heading towards the beach, Batu Belig Beach is about an 8-minute walk, and Petitenget Temple is just a 7-minute stroll away.
The Petitenget area strikes a perfect balance between Seminyak’s sophisticated nightlife and Canggu’s laid-back vibe—it’s not the kind of noisy tourist zone that keeps you up at night, but you’ll find restaurants, cafes, massage parlors, and convenience stores all within walking distance. For travelers who want ‘convenient access without too much hustle and bustle,’ the location is definitely a plus.
🏨 Facility Overview

Stepping into the lobby, the first impression is one of tranquility, cleanliness, and a well-thought-out design—not the kind of ostentatious luxury that comes from throwing money at decor, but rather a refined quality where every detail has been carefully considered. Upon check-in, the staff personally escorts you to your room for a guided tour, presenting a welcome coconut drink. The check-in process is swift and efficient, with no unnecessary delays.

In terms of public facilities, the pool is located on the rooftop, accompanied by a pool bar that operates during the day. One thing to note: the water might appear slightly murky when viewed at night, but according to guests, this is likely due to the lighting. It’s recommended to enjoy the pool during the day. The spa has three treatment rooms, and hotel guests receive a 30% discount, which is quite substantial. The massage services have received excellent reviews, making it worth including in your itinerary.

Additionally, complimentary afternoon tea is served from 3–5 PM, with desserts and tea snacks even delivered to your room – a thoughtful service detail that adds value. For every booking completed, the hotel plants a mangrove sapling and provides a commemorative card, demonstrating that their sustainability ethos isn’t just lip service but actively practiced.
🛏️ Room Types
All 21 rooms in the property are suite-style. The rooms are exceptionally spacious, with the standout feature being the freestanding egg-shaped bathtub—positioned right in the center of the room. The tub is large enough for two people to soak comfortably, and the hot water supply is consistent. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by louvered sliding doors, striking the perfect balance between privacy and openness. Even when sharing the room with a friend, the setup feels comfortable and non-intrusive.

The room amenities are more comprehensive than expected: complimentary minibar (though not restocked after consumption), unlimited glass-bottled mineral water, snacks and fruits, dual sinks, bidet toilet, rain shower plus handheld showerhead, smart TV, JBL Bluetooth speaker (with built-in alarm clock - a very practical design), universal power outlets, and even a dedicated bottle of mineral water for brushing teeth. The room’s lighting ambiance has been particularly praised by guests, with overall quality and attention to detail far exceeding other options at this price point.
The only minor drawback: The rooms don’t have ‘Please Clean’ or ‘Do Not Disturb’ signs, but the front desk will verbally ask if you need your room cleaned when you leave each day. You’ll get used to it, but first-time guests may need some adjustment. Additionally, some guests mentioned needing to figure out the blackout curtains, so if you’re sensitive to light, it’s recommended to confirm the operation method with the front desk upon check-in.
👥 Ideal For
Perfect for travelers who value design and prefer understated elegance over sprawling villas. Ideal for couples or honeymooners, with the egg-shaped bathtub and spa discount combo feeling like a tailored package. Also suitable for groups of friends, offering ample space and privacy. Not particularly recommended for those with infants or toddlers, as the pool requires adult supervision for children under 12, and the overall ambiance leans towards tranquility.

Another guest mentioned that this was the most design-forward hotel they had ever stayed at in Bali. Surprisingly, when the island experienced a power outage, the hotel’s self-contained power system ensured uninterrupted service, leaving their experience completely unaffected.
