When dining in Indonesia, keep an eye on the extra charges on your bill. The food and beverage tax is added on top, usually 11%, which goes to the government. Many restaurants also add a service charge of 4% to 10%. So if a menu item is priced at 100,000 Indonesian Rupiah, your final bill will be 100,000 IDR + 11% tax + the service fee.
