Professional Photographer & Drone Day Tour in Bali - Ubud & Waterfalls Adventure

Coming to Bali for vacation, my travel companion and I hoped to create more wonderful memories. Among the many tour options, we decided to book a special package - the ‘Professional Photographer Day Tour in Bali’. This package not only includes sightseeing tours but, more importantly, features a professional photographer who follows us throughout the day, using both cameras and drones to capture every precious moment. For us, who wanted to take beautiful photos without missing out on the actual experiences, this arrangement was perfect!

Pre-Departure Preparations

During our first few days in Bali, we stayed at the Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort, and the location was absolutely perfect! Right next door was the Beachwalk Shopping Center, filled with various brand stores and restaurants, making our shopping experience delightful. Even better, just across the street was Kuta Beach, where we spent our days learning to surf and feeling the thrill of the Indian Ocean waves. In the evenings, we enjoyed stunning sunsets from the resort’s seaside pool. At night, we strolled along the lively streets, sampling a variety of local and international cuisines. Kuta’s nightlife allowed us to experience the youthful and vibrant side of Bali.

The day before our tour, we received a confirmation message from our photographer and guide, Udin, via WhatsApp, detailing the pickup time and location. Since we had chosen the Professional Photographer Day Tour in Bali, which includes both camera and drone photography services, we were filled with anticipation for the upcoming journey.

There are three tour options available for the Bali Photographer Day Tour: East Bali, Ubud & Waterfalls, and North Bali. After discussing with my travel companion, we chose the ‘Ubud & Waterfalls’ route, allowing us to experience Bali’s most iconic cultural sites and natural beauty.

Tour Begins - Departure from Kuta at 08:00

At eight in the morning, our photographer and guide, Udin, arrived punctually at our hotel in Kuta to pick us up. This professional photographer not only took photos for us but also served as our guide and driver, making the entire tour more convenient and personalized.

As we drove away from Kuta, our journey to Ubud began. The scenery gradually transformed from coastal cityscapes to lush rural landscapes, heightening our excitement for the upcoming adventure.

First Stop: Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary

Upon arriving at the Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud, our photographer purchased the entrance tickets for us, which were included in the package service. Stepping into this sacred forest, we were immediately awestruck by the dense primordial jungle and ancient stone carvings.

Here, the mischievous monkeys became the perfect supporting characters in our photos. The photographer skillfully used professional cameras to capture precious moments of our interactions with the monkeys. The ancient temple structures, surrounded by lush greenery, appeared particularly mystical, with every angle offering a perfect backdrop for photos. We spent nearly an hour here.

Second Stop: Tegallalang Rice Terraces

After leaving the Monkey Forest, we arrived at the famous Tegallalang Rice Terraces. The photographer again handled the entrance tickets for us, allowing us to enjoy this green wonderland without any worries.

Standing on the viewing platform, the layered rice fields stretched like green steps towards the horizon, leaving us in awe. The photographer took advantage of the drone’s capabilities, capturing the terraces’ majestic panorama from various heights and angles. We also strolled through the terraces, letting the photographer capture our natural expressions as we immersed ourselves in this breathtaking scenery.

Lunch Break

Near the Tegallalang Rice Terraces, we chose a local restaurant for lunch. Although the meal was at our own expense, savoring our chosen Balinese dishes while enjoying the view of the terraces made this meal particularly meaningful. The photographer also took this opportunity to show us some of the photos they had just taken.

Third Stop: Tegenungan Waterfall

After lunch, we headed to the final stop of our day’s itinerary - Tibumana Waterfall.

Located a bit away from Ubud, this distance allowed us to enjoy the serene beauty with fewer crowds. After a short nap in the car, we arrived at the parking lot. Our tour package included all entrance fees, so we simply followed our guide Udin. Walking along the trail through lush tropical rainforest, the sound of the waterfall gradually became clearer. Tibumana Waterfall appeared like silver threads cascading from the sky, splashing into the emerald pool below.

Here, our photographer made full use of his drone to capture the waterfall’s full grandeur from above, while also documenting our various poses in front of the falls with his camera. The clear pool water reflected our joyful smiles, with every photo brimming with vibrant energy.

Return Journey - 15:00 Back to Kuta

At 3 PM, we began our journey back to Kuta. In the car, our photographer shared amusing anecdotes from his shoots: ‘Last week, a couple got engaged at the waterfall, and the monkey almost snatched the ring…’

Throughout the trip, our photographer not only professionally captured our precious moments but also fluently introduced the history and cultural background of each site in English, making this journey more than just sightseeing - it was a deep cultural immersion.
