This travelogue is provided by fellow traveler Serena, documenting a family trip to Bali with two children and five adults. During this trip, they spent seven wonderful days with their guide and driver, Pacung Bali. Through detailed itinerary planning and attraction recommendations, they explored various corners of Bali, savored local cuisine, enjoyed a variety of water activities, and created many precious memories and beautiful photos.

Postscript
Here are some must-try and must-visit recommendations for Bali:
- Natys American Restaurant: Don’t miss their seafood platter and beef stew with red wine! With branches in many locations, quality is guaranteed.
- Tanjung Benoa Water Sports: Highly recommend the underwater walking activity for diving beginners. Although it’s a man-made attraction, it’s a unique experience. Avoid Turtle Island as it’s quite boring and lacks unique animals. Also, remember to bargain for discounts of 20-40%.
Book online to avoid scams:
Book Tanjung Benoa Water Sports (Various Packages)
Book Tanjung Benoa Banana Boat Package - Uluwatu Cliff Road: The scenery here is stunning, perfect for photo opportunities. It’s best to visit in the morning when there are fewer people.
- Uluwatu Temple, Tanah Lot, Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park: These places are worth visiting. Uluwatu Temple and Tanah Lot offer beautiful views and great photo spots. As for Garuda Wisnu Kencana, if your budget allows, take the shuttle to the statue area to avoid heatstroke.
- Ubud Swing: This place offers various entertainment facilities, including zip lines and sky bikes. There’s also a fantastic pork rib noodle restaurant nearby, but it’s a bit hidden—ask my driver for directions.
- La Brisa: If you’re heading to the innermost bar, remember not to bring water inside; the restaurant will ask you to pour it out.
- Beachwalk Residence: For family trips, consider staying at Beachwalk Residence. They offer family-style apartments within walking distance to shopping malls and close to the beach, offering great value for money.
- Traffic during Lunar New Year: Travel times were 30 minutes to 1.5 hours longer than the driver’s initial Google Maps estimates. Especially for trips to Ubud, which is farther away, arrival times were significantly delayed! Additionally, the roads near the palace are narrow, leading to severe traffic congestion.
