Video introduction: Three minutes to get to know Jimbaran
Learn about Balinese legends: The story of Garuda
Before stepping into Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, let’s take a moment to understand the story behind it. In Balinese mythology, Garuda, the loyal eagle, sought help from Vishnu, one of the three main Hindu deities, to rescue his imprisoned mother. After defeating evil forces, he willingly became Vishnu’s mount, showcasing his loyalty and courage.

Uluwatu Temple: Chasing the Romantic Sunset of Sea and Sky

“Let’s Play and Eat Ho Chi Minh City” live shoot. The sacred residence “Meru” of Uluwatu Temple cannot be entered, 👣 but walking along the paths on either side of the temple, every scene is a priceless and beautiful view 💯
Uluwatu Temple is the southernmost landmark of Bali, attracting countless visitors with its magnificent coastline and cliffside views at sunset. However, besides the natural beauty, there are some important things to keep in mind here.
Beware of Monkey Theft
The monkeys at Uluwatu Temple are highly aggressive and often snatch items from visitors’ hands. Therefore, tourists should remain vigilant to avoid unnecessary trouble.
Explore the Surrounding Scenery
Although you cannot enter the temple itself, walking along the paths on either side allows you to admire breathtaking natural landscapes. Every spot is filled with priceless beauty worth savoring.
Enjoy the Traditional Kecak Fire Dance
There are two daily performances of the traditional Kecak Fire Dance, which visitors absolutely must not miss. This performance combines natural beauty and cultural artistry, creating a dreamlike experience.
Tips and Recommendations

🗒 Don’t miss the two daily performances of the traditional Kecak Fire Dance. 👉 The ticket booth is inside the temple grounds 👈, so purchase your tickets after entering.
The entrance fee varies depending on the visitor’s status, so purchase according to your situation. It’s recommended to arrive early to secure an ideal seating position. Stay alert during the performance to avoid any unnecessary issues.
About the Fire Dance
The Kecak Fire Dance primarily reenacts a segment from the Indian epic Ramayana, featuring the battle between the Monkey King and demons. The dazzling flames and vibrant costumes are truly mesmerizing! Practical Tips
- Seating is first-come, first-served. Arrive early to secure the best spots facing the sea, with the temple on the right and the sunset on the left.
- The performance lasts about 45 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for photos with the performers. Make sure to take advantage of this.
- The cliff, sunset, and fire dance at Uluwatu are truly worth anticipating.
- Both men and women must wear a sarong if their lower garments do not reach the knees. If the clothing does reach the knees, only a belt is required. Sarongs are provided free of charge on-site.
- If you want to interact with the performers (the Monkey King) during the fire dance, choose seats near the railings on either side.
- It is recommended to purchase fire dance tickets in advance through Klook to avoid long queues on-site.
- Entrance tickets to the park must be purchased on-site. Remember, it’s best not to buy fire dance tickets upon arrival; buy them first and then take photos with the cliff, as it gets very crowded!
