Bottom Line First: Trans Studio Bali is Bali’s only large-scale, fully indoor theme park, located in Trans Studio Mall near Kuta/Seminyak. It features five themed zones (including an indoor roller coaster and i-Fly indoor skydiving), with air conditioning throughout, unaffected by weather. It’s the perfect backup plan for families or seniors on rainy or scorching hot days in Bali.
Taking your family to Bali, the worst thing is getting dizzy from the blazing sun or having an afternoon downpour completely wreck your plans—I’ve been through that more than once. Then I discovered Trans Studio Bali, and planning the itinerary became so much easier. This indoor theme park, the only one of its kind in Bali, is tucked inside Trans Studio Mall. No matter the weather outside, the fun inside is what matters most.

What Is Trans Studio Bali?
Simply put, it’s Bali’s largest fully indoor theme park, located in Trans Studio Mall near Kuta/Seminyak (address: Jl. Imam Bonjol No.440). The park is divided into five themed zones, each with a completely different vibe—from a New York-style action stunt area to a Balinese culture-inspired temple adventure zone. There’s so much to do that you can’t cover it all in one day.

It’s perfect for families with kids, seniors, or travelers who don’t want their trip ruined by sun or rain. What’s even better for those who hate the heat: you never have to worry about tropical weather here. The air conditioning is on, and you can enjoy all the rides freely.
Top 5 Must-Ride Attractions You Can’t Miss
1. Boomerang Roller Coaster — A Thrill Ride on the Mall Rooftop

Even if you’re not usually into roller coasters, this one is worth a try. It’s built on the rooftop of Trans Studio Mall, with a loop-style track that sends you diving at high speed through the air. That sudden rush of flying forward will definitely make your heart skip a beat.
Why is it called “Boomerang”? You’ll understand once you try it—no spoilers here.
2. Flying Over Indonesia — Aerial Tour of the Archipelago

This is one of the most fascinating attractions in the entire park and the only flight simulator theater experience in all of Indonesia. You board a simulator equipped with 4D motion technology, complete with airflow and mist effects, and soar through the air over Borobudur, Komodo Island, Bali’s rice terraces… before you know it, you’ll be intrigued by other parts of Indonesia.
Compared to just watching a screen, the immersive “flying through the air” sensation is surprisingly realistic. Perfect for the whole family to enjoy together!
3. Formula Kart Electric Go-Karts — Bali’s Largest Indoor Track

This track takes up almost an entire floor and is currently the largest indoor go-kart venue in Bali. The electric go-karts are stable and safe to operate, even for kids (there are height restrictions, so check in advance), and they’re a blast to drive.
Quick tip: This attraction is extremely popular and tends to have long lines. We waited about 45 minutes on our visit, so I recommend heading here first when you arrive, as it gets even busier in the afternoon.
4. Forbidden Temple Adventure — The Best Family-Friendly Lazy River

This lazy river is themed around a Balinese temple adventure, with a short outdoor section where you can catch glimpses of the Kuta/Seminyak cityscape. It’s not particularly thrilling, but it’s wonderfully fun and especially suitable for bringing along elderly family members or young children.
Worried about getting wet? We came out almost completely dry, so feel free to bring your bag along.
5. Spectacular Shows and Grand Parade — Make Sure to Schedule This

Many people treat the shows as casual side attractions, but the performances at Trans Studio Bali are truly different—they’re worth setting aside dedicated time to fully enjoy.
🎭 Regular Show Schedule
(Subject to change; check on-site for the latest)
| Show Name | Weekdays (Mon–Fri) | Weekends & Holidays (Sat, Sun, Public Holidays) | Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gayatri | 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM | 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM | A stage drama blending traditional and modern Balinese culture. |
| Simsalabim Show | 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM | 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM | A magical theater show filled with illusions and visual effects. |
| Temple Raider | 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM | 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM | A thrilling stunt and adventure action performance. |
| Dream Festival Parade | 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM | 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM | The daily grand finale carnival float and character star parade. |
The “Temple Raider” show features fire performances, explosive effects, motorcycle stunts, and martial arts choreography—its fast-paced action feels like watching a mini action movie. The Dream Festival Parade, the park’s grand finale, is a family favorite, with characters ranging from cartoons to Indonesian deities, instantly filling the park with a magical, joyful atmosphere.
Other Attractions Worth Exploring
Beyond the five highlights, these areas are also highly recommended for a quick visit:
- Ninja Challenge Course (Action Zone): Obstacle training combined with balance challenges—a must-try for sports enthusiasts.
- Frank House Illusion House: A maze with visual distortions that might leave you questioning reality.
- Titanic Area: A giant Titanic installation art piece—a must-photo spot before entering the park.

- Zombie & Werewolf Shooting Mission (City of the Dead): Grab a laser gun and take on virtual monsters—see who’s the best shot.
- Bali Senses Immersive Digital Art Zone: An interactive digital space blending Balinese culture with technology—this is the first stop upon entering.
- i-Fly Indoor Skydiving (additional fee): Want to experience the thrill of flying without the height? This is the safest way.

Practical Information

One Last Tip: Buying Fast Track Is Totally Worth It
If you only have half a day or don’t want to waste time queuing, I highly recommend adding the Fast Track ticket (Klook ticket + Fast Track for Rp. 712,500).
From our own experience, we waited nearly 45 minutes just for Formula Kart, and Flying Over Indonesia is also hugely popular—queues can hit an hour during peak times. With Fast Track, you can save at least ten times the waiting time—over a full day, that means you can enjoy several more rides, making it far more worthwhile than you might think.
Otherwise, by the time you get on some popular rides, it might already be dark—that’s just not a good use of your vacation time.
To be honest, Trans Studio Bali isn’t one of those “must-visit in Bali” attractions, but it fills a crucial gap in travel plans: a rainy-day backup, a cool escape from the heat, and a top pick for families.
If you’re traveling with family members who aren’t up for scooters, hiking, or long days in the sun, this is an excellent choice. With Formula Kart, Flying Over Indonesia, and spectacular shows, you can easily spend an entire afternoon here, and it’s fun for all ages.
Next time you plan a Bali itinerary, keep this spot on your backup list. If the weather forecast suddenly shows rain a few days before your trip, it’ll come in handy!
