Bottom line first: If you want to bring tropical home decor back to Taiwan, skip the tourist areas — the home decor wholesale markets around Ubud and Tegallalang are half the price of tourist spots (seashell chandeliers under $30 USD), and you can still bargain. Shipping options include sea freight (cheap but slow) or air freight (fast but pricier). These shops aren’t in tourist zones — they’re insider routes only locals know. Below is a must-visit list and shipping guide.

In Bali, besides lounging at villas and hitting attractions, the best thing to do is: Pack an entire suitcase of home decor and crafts to bring back to Taiwan! 🎁

✨ Must-Buy Highlight: Seashell Chandeliers

I actually brought a seashell chandelier back to Taiwan! It packs flat and compact, super easy to carry. One cost less than $30 USD… Now I’m still wondering why I didn’t buy another suitcase to bring back more, haha~

必買亮點:貝殼吊燈

Now my room is decked out with full Bali vibes, I feel like I’m still living in a Villa every day 🌿

💬 What Our Travel Buddies Say

My wallet is in danger, it’s so beautiful ❤️ Thank you so much for sharing this I absolutely love this kind of decor I lost a rattan basket at the airport 😭 The ground staff said it was too big to carry on So beautiful, thanks for sharing! Really, don’t fly budget airlines, or you won’t be able to bring it back 😄

🧳 A Quick Reminder

  • Bring an empty suitcase to fill up
  • Avoid budget airlines, or luggage weight and size limits will make you cry
  • For bulky items like rattan baskets and hanging lamps, make sure to check if they can be checked in after packaging
