If you’re like me, not keen on spending time planning but still want to experience the best of Bali, I highly recommend including Klook day tours in your itinerary! During our 7-day 6-night Bali trip, we arranged three Klook day tours (Day 2, Day 4, Day 6), each was both relaxing and exciting~ It was the ultimate ‘sleep on the bus, snap photos off the bus’ experience, and I want to share this with anyone who wants to explore Bali effortlessly ❤️

This trip was arranged effortlessly, allowing us to enjoy Bali’s vacation vibe while exploring famous spots, hidden gems, and cultural sites. I have to say: Klook is truly a great helper for independent travelers!
🛬 Day 1:Arrival in Bali, Relaxation Mode Activated!
After arriving at Denpasar Airport, we took our pre-booked airport transfer to our hotel in Sanur, on Bali’s east coast. Sanur is a tranquil coastal town in southeastern Bali, known for its relaxed atmosphere and slow pace of life, making it a favorite among family travelers and long-term visitors. Sanur boasts a long beachfront promenade and sunrise beach, perfect for morning walks, cycling, and swimming. Unlike the bustling Kuta, Sanur exudes a relaxing elegance.
We stayed at Griya Santrian, a beachfront resort where you can step onto the sand just a few steps from the pool, ideal for water lovers or beach enthusiasts. The architecture retains traditional Balinese style, and the garden landscapes are serene and comfortable. The hotel also offers SPA, yoga classes, and a sea-view restaurant, making it perfect for travelers looking to enjoy the charm of ‘slow living in Sanur’.
We chose to spend the first day relaxing, strolling along the nearby beach and shopping mall. Bali’s tropical atmosphere and sea breeze immediately put us in vacation mode~

📸 Day 2: Klook “Bali East Instagram Hotspot Tour” 🌋🌴
Today’s highlight is Klook’s 【Bali East Instagram Hotspot Day Tour】, our first Klook activity of this trip. The tour can be arranged for just two people, and importantly, you can choose a Chinese-speaking guide, which is perfect for first-time visitors like us who want to delve deeper into the local culture!
We set off promptly at 7:30 AM from our hotel, with private car transfer making it super convenient. After a nap along the way, we arrived at our first stop: the famous Lempuyang Temple, also known as the “Gates of Heaven”. Taking the classic symmetrical mirror photos here was absolutely dreamy! 📷⛩️ Our Chinese guide also explained the sacred origins of this temple, allowing us to not just take photos but also understand the local religious culture.
Next, we visited Swing Heaven, which is not just about swinging but also features multiple photo spots for stunning Instagram shots 🌺. After taking photos, our guide helped with angles, showcasing top-notch photography skills!
At noon, we arrived at the spiritual Tirta Gangga Water Palace, originally a royal bathing place. The ponds are filled with koi fish, and you can buy feed to feed them or stroll on the stepping stones, which was quite fun! 🐟💦
Then we visited the majestic Taman Ujung Water Palace, a less crowded spot with a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for quietly admiring the blend of architecture and water.
Our final stop was my favorite, Virgin Beach, a secluded beach away from the hustle and bustle, with crystal-clear water and white sand. There were few locals around, making it ideal for relaxing, sunbathing, and sipping coconut water 🌞🥥.

We returned around 17:30, with a full yet unhurried day. Not having to navigate or worry about transportation was a huge relief!

🌿 Day 3: Half-Day Ubud Exploration + SPA Time
After waking up naturally today, we checked out from Sanur and headed to Ubud Market for a leisurely stroll. We tried Ubud’s famous crispy roast pork rice and then enjoyed a 90-minute Balinese aromatherapy massage at a SPA center.
Ubud is the cultural heart of Bali, surrounded by rice fields, forests, and traditional villages. It’s the ideal place to seek nature, art, and spiritual experiences. In Ubud, you can join yoga classes, visit craft villages, immerse yourself in Balinese temple culture, and relax in numerous high-quality villas.
How can you visit Bali without enjoying a villa!? We stayed at Ayuterra Resort, a villa where I couldn’t tear myself away from the pool 🏞️. The room is stylish and spacious, with an outdoor infinity pool overlooking the Ayung River Gorge — every moment feels like a postcard 📸. Spending the evening stargazing in the pool and waking up to birdsong in the morning made it the most relaxing and romantic night of my Ubud trip ❤️. Highly recommended for honeymooners or couples celebrating special occasions!
🌿 Day 4: Klook “Private Ubud Highlights Day Tour” | Culture & Nature All in One, Unlocking Ubud’s Essence in a Day!
On this day, we booked Klook’s Private Ubud Highlights Day Tour. While a Chinese-speaking guide is an option, we were accompanied by the amazing English-speaking driver Yogi, who guided us through the entire itinerary. He was incredibly patient, planned the most efficient route to avoid crowds, and even took care of parking fees at each spot — no extra charges required. Truly thoughtful!
We departed from the hotel at 08:30 and headed to our first stop: the stunning Tegallalang Rice Terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The layered rice fields resembled green waves, offering breathtaking views. Every angle was picture-perfect, like a dreamy postcard! 🌾📷

Next, we experienced Ubud’s classic jungle swing. The moment we swung out was both thrilling and fun, with lush tropical rainforests and valleys below. It felt like we were flying in a movie scene!

Our third stop was the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Ubud, a natural habitat for Bali’s long-tailed macaques. While the monkeys are lively and curious, don’t worry—as long as you don’t feed or provoke them, there’s basically no danger. Our guide even taught us how to maintain a safe distance from the monkeys, making it a unique and fun experience 🐒🌳
For lunch, our driver Yogi picked a restaurant with an incredible view, where we enjoyed our meal overlooking rice fields—the atmosphere was top-notch (thanks to his perfect planning!)
After lunch, we headed to Tirta Empul Temple, a spot I was really looking forward to. The holy spring within the temple is said to have purifying energy, and many local worshippers and tourists immerse themselves in the pools for ritual cleansing. Though I didn’t join in, sitting quietly and observing this scene of devotion brought an unexpected sense of peace 🙏💧

Our final stop was Ubud’s popular Tegenungan Waterfall. The waterfall is truly spectacular, with roaring waters and a breathtaking sight. However, it felt a bit too crowded and commercialized for my taste, with many visitors playing in the water and taking photos, so I didn’t stay long. It really depends on your preference!

We returned to the hotel around 5:00 PM, wrapping up a nearly 10-hour journey that was both fulfilling and not exhausting. A special shoutout to our driver Yogi, who was incredibly kind, planned the itinerary perfectly, and helped us avoid peak crowds—he’s definitely worth recommending!
If you’re planning a trip to Ubud, this day tour is an excellent way to quickly get to know this cultural town, especially if you prefer not to drive yourself and want to capture plenty of great photos 📸💛

🐚 Day 5: Free Time + Beachside Afternoon Tea
On the fifth day, we arrived in Nusa Dua
If Sanur is a tranquil beach town and Ubud is a place of natural spirituality, then Nusa Dua is synonymous with luxury vacations ✨. Every hotel here feels like a mini-city, with excellent security, clean streets, and an atmosphere akin to Bali’s affluent district—perfect for travelers looking to completely unwind and relax.
We stayed at Mulia Resort, a renowned luxury hotel on the island that offers exceptional value. Particularly noteworthy is their breakfast buffet, hailed as ‘the pinnacle of Bali’—the variety and quality of dishes are truly astounding, making every morning feel like a gourmet festival. The hotel itself is expansive, featuring multiple pools, a kids’ club, and a spa. The staff are well-trained, friendly, and courteous, creating a high-end resort experience that makes you think, ‘I want to come back here again’ 🌟.
Non-guests can also experience: 👉Mulia 5-star buffet dining experience starting at USD$21.89
We enjoyed afternoon tea at Mulia Resort, lounging by the pool while sipping coffee and indulging in desserts, all while gazing at the ocean. We also took a stroll around the nearby shopping mall. This was a ‘do-nothing day,’ and doing nothing turned out to be the best itinerary!

🔥 Day 6: Uluwatu Cliff Kecak Fire Dance & Suluban Secret Beach Private Tour|A Journey That Shakes the Senses and Soul!
On this day, we opted for the [Uluwatu Cliff Temple Kecak Fire Dance and Suluban Beach Private Tour], which offers Chinese-speaking guides. Our driver and guide this time was the incredibly cool Mr. Tawan! He was both passionate and street-smart, deeply knowledgeable about the history and culture of each stop. Whether it was the meaning behind the Kecak dance, the architecture of Uluwatu Temple, or the formation of the beach, he provided rich and insightful explanations. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This journey became even more complete because of him!
⛱️ 09:00 Departure → 11:00 Padang Padang Beach
Our first stop was the hidden gem—Padang Padang Beach. Surrounded by lush cliffs, reaching this beach requires navigating through a narrow rocky path, adding a sense of adventure! The beach is small but boasts fine white sand and crystal-clear blue waters, making it an ideal spot for swimming and photography 🌊📸
🍴 12:30 Lunch Time
We chose our own lunch spot, and Tawan thoughtfully recommended a restaurant with ocean views. Enjoying grilled fish with coconut water while watching surfers ride the waves was the epitome of chill~
🏝️ 14:00 Blue Point / Suluban Beach
Next, we headed to Suluban Beach, also known as “Blue Point Beach,” a secret paradise for many surfers. This beach is surrounded by massive rock caves, and during low tide, you can walk deep into the caves to explore small pools—it feels mysterious and adventurous! It truly feels like discovering a “secret hideout for adults” 🏄♂️
🛕 16:30 Uluwatu Temple
This ancient temple perched on a cliff is not only one of Bali’s six sacred temples but also an excellent spot to admire the stunning views of the Indian Ocean. The monkeys here are playful and cute, so it’s advised to keep your belongings secure (watch out for sunglasses and hats!). With our guide, we learned about the history and religious significance of Uluwatu Temple, gaining a deeper understanding of the locals’ reverence for nature and the divine.

🔥 18:00 Kecak Dance Performance (Highlight: Skip the Line Entry!)
This performance was truly one of the highlights of our trip! The Kecak Dance doesn’t rely on any instruments but instead uses the rhythmic chanting of “chak-chak-chak” by dozens of bare-chested men to create an atmosphere. Combined with the performers’ fire dancing and interactive segments, it brings the classic scenes of the Indian epic Ramayana to life! The performance begins at sunset and ends with bursts of fire and cheers from the crowd—the atmosphere is absolutely electrifying 🔥🔥🔥

(This itinerary includes skip-the-line entry, which saved us so much waiting time—highly recommend this feature!)

🐟 19:00 Jimbaran Beach Dinner

Day Tour FAQ
1. Q: How many people are needed to form a private guided tour on Klook?
A: Yes! Most private guided tours on Klook require a minimum of 2 people, no group merging, and even solo travelers are welcome, so no need to worry about gathering enough people. Whether you’re a couple, friends, or a family, you can easily enjoy a dedicated driver-guide with flexible itineraries.
2. Q: Can I choose a Chinese-speaking guide?
A: Some tours offer the option of a Chinese-speaking guide, so please pay special attention to the ‘Language’ field when booking. If a Chinese-speaking guide is not available, there are usually English-speaking guides or local drivers. You can also contact the local driver via WhatsApp in advance to discuss your needs.
3. Q: Are entrance tickets, lunch, or parking fees included in the tour?
A: Details vary slightly for each tour. Some tours include entrance tickets and lunch, but most will specify “meals at your own expense” or “entrance fees not included.” For example, our Ubud day tour does not require additional parking fees at any of the attractions, but lunch is at your own expense. We recommend reading the details carefully or contacting customer service before departure.
4. Q: Will the driver accompany us into the attractions?
A: Yes! Most tours are “guided private car tours,” where the driver will accompany you into the attractions, provide explanations, take photos, assist with ticket purchases, etc. However, if you choose the English-speaking driver option, you may explore some attractions on your own.
5. Q: Can the tour be customized? Can we change the route midway?
A: Generally not, but some private tours offer more flexibility. You can inquire with customer service or the driver in advance about minor route adjustments (e.g., replacing a specific attraction or extending the stay time), but this depends on traffic and time constraints on the day.
6. Q: If we are staying in different areas, such as Ubud or Jimbaran, can we still get pick-up service?
A: Yes, but the pick-up range and fees may vary depending on the area. Most tours offer “free pick-up” in areas like Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, and Ubud. Other areas may require an additional fee or confirmation of availability.
7. Q: Will the day tour feel rushed?
A: Klook tours are designed to be “moderately paced,” typically lasting around 8 to 10 hours. Although there are many attractions scheduled, private tours are not rushed, and the driver will help adjust the route to avoid crowds. For example, we arrive early for the Kecak fire dance performance, allowing us to skip the queue and greatly enhance the experience!
8. Q: Do I need to bring cash?
A: It’s highly recommended to carry some Indonesian Rupiah in cash. While some attractions and restaurants accept credit cards, places like Ubud Traditional Market, fire dance tickets, and temple donations still require cash.
9. Q: Will there be traffic jams? Is there buffer time?
A: Traffic peaks in Bali can lead to congestion, but Klook drivers usually avoid peak hours or adjust the route sequence to bypass heavy traffic.
10. Q: How can I contact the driver or guide?
A: Klook will provide the driver’s contact information before your trip. It’s recommended to download WhatsApp, the most commonly used communication app in Bali, so you can confirm pickup times and guide languages in advance.
11. Q: Are there more day tours to choose from?
A: Klook offers over 100 Bali day tours. It’s recommended to choose highly-rated tours based on the area you’re staying in.
