The Queen of Tropical Fruits - Mangosteen Season in Indonesia/Bali

Mangosteen is one of the tropical fruits extensively produced in Indonesia. This tangy and sweet fruit typically has a three-month harvest season in a given region.

However, due to Indonesia’s vast territory, mangosteen harvests normally occur from November to April across different regions. In Indonesia, the mangosteen harvest season usually begins in Sumatra. Farmers in this province typically start harvesting mangosteens at the end of the year, from November to December. This is followed by Java/Bali from January to March.

The variation in mangosteen harvest seasons across Indonesia means this tropical fruit is available in markets for nearly eight months of the year.
