Bottom Line: Perched on the cliffs of Uluwatu overlooking the Indian Ocean, Six Senses Uluwatu champions natural aesthetics, modern luxury, and sustainable travel. It’s a top-tier Uluwatu resort experience, ideal for discerning travelers seeking private pool villas and cliffside ocean views.
If you’re looking for a getaway that lets you unwind while leaving you in awe, Six Senses Uluwatu in Bali is your perfect pick! This stay was nothing short of a dreamy adventure, full of delightful surprises and curiosity, and I just have to share this wonderful memory with you.

Cliffside Luxury: Checking into Six Senses Uluwatu
Six Senses Uluwatu sits atop the dramatic cliffs of Uluwatu, Bali, offering breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. As a pinnacle of upscale resort experiences in Uluwatu, this property seamlessly blends natural beauty, modern luxury, and sustainable tourism principles for an unforgettable stay.

We booked a one-night stay through a booking platform for $477 (off-peak rate). While it’s not cheap, the moment you step into this cliffside paradise, you’ll realize every penny is worth it! The hotel is about 3 miles from Suluban Beach and 2.3 miles from Padang Padang Beach. It’s roughly 7 miles from Bali’s international airport, making it very convenient to reach.
From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were blown away by the view—the endless Indian Ocean stretched out before us, as if the whole world lay at our feet. The design blends modern luxury with natural elements, instantly enveloping you in a sense of peace and relaxation.
103 Private Villas: The Perfect Blend of Luxury and Privacy

Six Senses Uluwatu boasts 103 private villas, each featuring an infinity-edge ocean-view pool and a courtyard garden. The villas are spacious, with a luxurious and stylish design that makes you never want to leave. Every room also includes an outdoor terrace offering stunning ocean views. The bathrooms are equipped with dual sinks, indoor and outdoor showers, premium toiletries, and high-tech toilets, delivering the ultimate comfort and convenience.
Ocean Golf: An Eco-Friendly and Fun Experience
One of the main reasons we chose Six Senses Uluwatu was that we had never tried golf before, and their ocean golf was absolutely breathtaking! Imagine hitting a golf ball into the ocean, where it naturally dissolves into fish food—both eco-friendly and fun! Just reading about it makes you eager to try, right?

Unfortunately, on the first day, bad weather prevented us from experiencing this activity, and our spirits plummeted. After all, this was the main reason we came! But Six Senses’ service was truly impeccable. The next day, the hotel staff specially arranged this long-awaited experience for us. Even though it was our first time playing golf and we were just swinging wildly, the thrill of hitting the ball into the ocean was incredibly exciting! It was definitely an unforgettable experience.

A Sea Turtle Encounter on the Cliff
While strolling along the hotel’s cliffside, we actually spotted sea turtles swimming gracefully in the crystal-clear waters! This intimate connection with nature instantly made us forget all our worries. Six Senses Uluwatu is not just a resort; it feels like an eco-paradise coexisting with nature.
Shuttle Rides: A Little Adventure
Since the hotel grounds are vast, getting around requires shuttle rides. Honestly, I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent zipping around in the shuttle! Especially during Bali’s rainy season—shortly after we checked in, a heavy downpour began, and the sound of rain all night was incredibly relaxing. Although we couldn’t experience the outdoor movie due to the weather, my sister made a sunshine doll, and the next day, it actually cleared up! Was it magic?

Private Pool & Thoughtful Design: The Ultimate Luxury

The rooms are fully equipped with air conditioning, a flat-screen satellite TV, wireless speakers, and an organic coffee machine. Each room also features an outdoor terrace with stunning ocean views. The bathroom boasts dual sinks, indoor and outdoor showers, premium toiletries, and a high-tech toilet, offering unparalleled comfort and convenience.

In the afternoon, the hotel offers free ice cream made with fresh fruit! I tried the papaya flavor—it was absolutely incredible, bursting with rich, fruity goodness that lingered on the palate.
A Special Treat for Your Furry Friend
Six Senses Uluwatu even goes the extra mile for furry friends! We picked up a souvenir for our dog at the hotel shop—such thoughtful service that truly warms the heart.

Food & SPA: A Feast for the Senses
The hotel’s breakfast buffet is abundant and packed with healthy options, giving you a vibrant start to the day. Rocka Restaurant offers a perfect fusion of Indonesian and international cuisine, emphasizing fresh, local ingredients. Meanwhile, Watu Steakhouse blends premium steaks with Japanese flavors, creating a delightful mix of tradition and global influences that will make your mouth water.

At dinner, the restaurant introduced Indonesian chili sambal in great detail, with clear pictures on the menu. We ordered a simple pasta dish, and it turned out surprisingly delicious!

Additionally, the hotel’s SPA experience is fantastic, featuring eight treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge, a hydrotherapy pool, a sauna, and a steam room, plus an air-conditioned yoga pavilion and a 24-hour fitness center. If you visit, don’t miss out!

A Little Surprise: The In-Room Phone Ringtone
Finally, there’s a delightful little detail that will make you smile—the in-room phone rings with the same tone as an iPhone! Every time it goes off, it’s hard not to chuckle, and this small surprise adds an extra layer of fun to the entire stay.
Conclusion: One Night Is Simply Not Enough!

Six Senses Uluwatu is a resort that leaves no room for criticism. From the breathtaking natural scenery to the thoughtful service, every detail is filled with surprises and satisfaction. The only downside? One night is far too short! If you ever get the chance to visit Bali, don’t miss this cliffside paradise—it will surely leave you longing to return!
