💰 Indonesia’s VoA May Rise to 1 Million IDR! Still Under Discussion

Indonesia’s Directorate General of Immigration is evaluating adjustments to the Visa on Arrival (VoA) fee. Currently, the cost for travelers to obtain a VoA upon arrival in Indonesia is 500,000 IDR, but a new proposal could raise it to 1 million IDR.

It’s important to note that this is not yet a confirmed price hike. The proposals under discussion include: if travelers apply online in advance for an e-VoA, the fee could be 750,000 IDR; while those who apply for a VoA upon arrival in Indonesia might pay 1 million IDR.

So for now, travelers heading to Bali still pay the current fee of 500,000 IDR — don’t see ‘1 million IDR’ and assume it’s already in effect.

This news is worth paying attention to because, once implemented, visa costs will significantly increase for family trips, group travel, and frequent Bali visitors.
