Bottom Line First: From July 1, 2026 (applicable to itineraries on or after this date), Bali chartered car base prices remain unchanged, but a fixed fuel surcharge will be added per trip — IDR 50,000 for half-day, IDR 100,000 for full-day. This ensures short trips and airport transfers aren’t unfairly affected by price hikes, and the surcharge can be flexibly reduced if fuel prices drop in the future.
📢 Official Announcement from Bali Driver Team: Chartered Car Service Price Adjustment (Effective July 1, 2026)
Our Decision: Base fares stay the same, with a fuel surcharge per trip – continuing to serve you
Dear Travelers, Hello!
We are a team of drivers providing chartered car services in Bali. Over the past few years, the Indonesian Rupiah has been depreciating, and global fuel prices have been rising, making our daily expenses for gas, car maintenance, and even living costs much heavier. After discussions and mutual agreement, we’ve decided to adopt a ‘base chartered car price unchanged, but with a fuel surcharge added per trip’ approach starting July 1, 2026.
We didn’t want to simply raise the base chartered car price, as that would be unfair to guests taking short trips or airport transfers, and it would be troublesome to lower it again if fuel prices drop later. So, this is the best way to balance your affordability with our livelihood.
🔁 New Billing Method (Jointly Decided by Drivers)
- Base Chartered Car Price: Unchanged (same as the previously announced price list)
- Additional ‘Fuel Surcharge’ per Trip: A fixed amount based on the duration of the charter
- Total Cost = Base Chartered Car Price + Fuel Surcharge
By doing this, you can still clearly see the original fare, and we can fairly compensate for the actual increase in fuel costs.

📅 Effective Date and Eligibility
- Effective Date: Starting July 1, 2026
- Eligibility: All trips with a departure date on or after July 1, 2026
❓ Why a “Fuel Surcharge” Instead of a Direct Price Increase?
Because:
- Raising the base fare would affect all trips (including short rides or airport transfers), which wouldn’t be fair to those passengers.
- Fuel prices may drop in the future, so a surcharge offers more flexibility—if prices go down, we can reduce or remove it.
- This is the consensus among most drivers in our group – transparent, simple, and acceptable to everyone.
- Half-day charter fuel surcharge: USD$1,613; Full-day charter fuel surcharge: USD$3,226
