🚗 Transportation and Entry
Located in Gianyar, Marine Safari Bali is right next to the famous Bali Safari Park. Now, the two parks are collectively known as ‘Bali Safari and Marine Park’, embodying the official tagline ‘One Destination, Two Worlds’.
Since it’s not in a bustling area, it’s advisable to arrange for private transportation. The park is larger than expected, and upon entering, you’re immediately immersed in tropical scenery and a joyful atmosphere. We pre-purchased the Day Varuna Premium Package on Klook. Although the price was steep, it was absolutely worth every penny!
🍽 Surprises at the Underwater Theme Restaurant
The package included lunch at a meticulously designed ‘Underwater World’ themed restaurant. Dominated by blue hues, the restaurant’s walls were adorned with coral, seaweed, and other marine elements, complemented by special lighting effects that made you feel like you were in an underwater palace. The meal was a refined Western set menu, with a special recommendation for their Bali-inspired drinks. The kids couldn’t get enough of the adorably shaped desserts.

Our Premium seats were located in the central area with excellent views. As the lights dimmed, the entire theater instantly transformed into an underwater world.
The performance centered around the adventures of Varuna, the guardian of the sea. The most astonishing aspects were the meticulously designed stage effects:
- Water curtain projections created an illusion of the deep sea
- Stunt performers elegantly danced ‘underwater’ (achieved through special costumes and lighting effects)
- Stage mechanisms seamlessly transitioned scenes from coral reefs to deep-sea canyons
- Surround sound effects immersed the audience completely
📸 Photo Opportunity with Actors
After the show, staff guided us to the photo area. The children were thrilled to take pictures with actors in elaborate costumes, making these photos one of our most cherished souvenirs from the trip.

After watching the Varuna Show, we also enjoyed activities included in the Premium package:
- Jungle Odyssey: Up-close wildlife observation (about an hour; recommended to enter right at opening to avoid crowds and capture great photos)
- Fun Zone: Various rides for both adults and children
- Sea Lion and Dolphin Show: Highly interactive (15:00)
- Pachamaya Fire Show: A powerful and mesmerizing performance (12:00 & 15:30)
- The show starts at 12:30 PM, so arrive early to secure your seats.
