The emerging activity Jungle Cart Bali only has three sessions per day: morning, noon, and afternoon, with a maximum of 17 participants per session. So, is Jungle Cart Bali fun? Is it worth experiencing? Below is Xiao Jie’s firsthand experience, let’s take a look at his adventure.

Before 9 AM, we arrived at the Jungle Cart Bali office located in the outskirts of Ubud, ready to embark on this thrilling jungle racing experience. Upon arrival, we completed the registration process with the friendly staff and had to sign a waiver. To ensure your safety, it’s essential to follow the racing rules and pay attention to your safety while driving.

Heading to the Jungle Track

After completing the registration process, Jungle Cart Bali arranged a shuttle to take us to the jungle racing track located deep in Ubud. The journey took about 30 minutes, during which we enjoyed the beautiful rural scenery of Bali.

Arriving at the Racing Track

Upon arrival at the racetrack, staff will assist you in putting on elbow pads and a helmet. Once everyone is geared up, the briefing session begins. During this time, the instructor will thoroughly explain the operation of the kart and safety precautions to ensure that every participant can safely and enjoyably embark on this jungle karting adventure.

Test Drive

This vehicle is non-motorized and relies entirely on downhill momentum, also known as a ‘gravity cart.’ After the instructor’s briefing, everyone can start selecting a kart that suits them. Since people vary in height, they offer three sizes: L, M, and S. You can try sitting in them before making your choice.

Once you’ve chosen your kart, led by the instructor and with another instructor bringing up the rear, we begin a test drive lasting about 5 minutes. This test drive allows us to familiarize ourselves with the kart’s operation and the track environment, fully preparing us for the official race.

Upon successfully reaching the first checkpoint during the test drive, staff will take photos of everyone.

Official Start

At the front of the kart line is a small white truck leading the way. This truck plays uplifting music through its speakers at the official start, enhancing participants’ engagement and also serving as a village broadcast, requesting villagers to make way.

From the first checkpoint to the second checkpoint, we pass through jungles, rice fields, and quaint Balinese villages. For detailed scenery, please refer to the video below by Xiao Jie, and remember to set it to the highest resolution!

Not Enough Fun

At the end of the video, the convoy arrives at the second checkpoint. After waiting for all the vehicles to catch up, they proceed to the next stage of the jungle karting. This part of the journey showcases different landscapes. Just as everyone is getting into the groove and their driving skills are improving, the vehicles make a right turn into an open area, and surprisingly, they reach the finish line.

This leaves everyone in shock! People are asking, “What? Is it over already? Have we reached the end?” It’s clear that everyone is having so much fun that they want to continue experiencing more thrills.

Enjoying the Food

Finally, after enjoying the traditional Indonesian drink and delicious fried bananas provided, the vehicle that brought you to the Jungle Cart site is waiting in the open area. We board the vehicle and return to the Jungle Cart Bali office.

Conclusion

Jungle Cart Bali spans 4.5 kilometers. If you’ve been to Sentosa in Singapore and tried their luge, you’ll know that Sentosa’s luge is about 700 meters long, taking at most five minutes from start to finish. Jungle Cart Bali in Bali, on the other hand, takes 20 to 25 minutes to complete the entire course. In summary, it’s an exhilarating and fun activity that leaves you wanting more. Everyone says they would love to do it again next time.
