What else can you do in Canggu?
Bali started with Kuta and Legian, which have developed into the most bustling areas of the entire island. We previously did an episode on “Kuta Guide,” so don’t miss my “Kuta Guide” when traveling to Bali!

After years of evolution, the lively area along the coast gradually extended northward from Kuta and Legian. Located north of Kuta/Legian, Seminyak, known in Chinese as “Shui Mingyang” or “Semiake,” was originally a small village independent of the Kuta area. Due to its cheap land prices, proximity to Kuta, and beautiful beaches, it began to attract expatriates living in Bali, leading to the construction of luxurious villas. This brought in exquisite dining, boutique shops, spas, and various designer brands to the area. Today, Seminyak is considered the epitome of fashion and trends in Bali, forming a continuous stretch from Kuta and Legian to Seminyak, making it the most essential shopping district on the island.

Continuing north, about a 15-minute drive from Seminyak, we arrive at Canggu. While the Indonesian pronunciation sounds like “Changgu,” the name actually has nothing to do with “long valleys”!
